Went to mom and dad's today and mom is settling in at home. Her incisions are smaller than I expected and she's able to get around well with her walker. Dad has been doing all the shopping and housework and really taking great care of her. Uncle Terry has been helping out, too, since he is staying there for a month or so.
Caryn called while I was there and Clay told the funniest story (funny to US, serious to him) about a kid who stood up on the school bus while it was moving and got a bloody lip. "Silly boy" Clay said.
