Foreigner is playing at the nearby Paramount Theater. I could not care less, as they have never been high on my list of favorite bands. However, I was mildly disturbed to see that the show is being "presented by AARP."
HUH? As in the American Association of RETIRED Persons??? Ok, what's up with that? WHEN did classic rock bands of my era start being sponsored by the AARP? This is not good, not good at all. What's next? Metallica presented by Geritol?? Van Halen presented by Preperation H?? No, this is not good at all. This is on par with the day I heard Greatful Dead muzac over a department store sound system!
*shakes head and massages temples* I feel so old!
*points* I'll be hiding under that rock over there if anyone needs me.
