Nice Day

Yesterday, Samantha came to church with us and John, Susie and the girls came to visit our church for the day. It was really neat. Our pastor was giving his testimony, which is very powerful indeed. I was very flattered when John and Susie said they could really feel the presence of the Lord in that place. I feel it strongly, too. That's what I love about that church...the presence of the Holy Spirit and His annointing.

Afterward, they all came to the house and Mom and Dad came by. We visited, swam in the pool and had a cookout. I must confess, though, that I became sad over missing portions of my family that I am just not able to spend this kind of time with anymore and don't see hardly at all. I miss Caryn and the kids...I miss Cheryl, Paul and the kids...I miss Jon and want to see his baby...I miss Denise and the kids. I was missing Charyn and the kids, even though I see her fairly often nowadays. I was missing the kids I don't have yet.

It's just life that people don't always get to spend time together, I understand that, but sometimes it does get to me. I think that, for a looonng time, my sister's children were a pretty good stand in for my own and helped me cope. I used to spend a lot of time with Paul, Jon, Michael and Samantha. I spent a lot of time with Denise's kids. Susie's kids. But, people's lives change. People move away. Children grow up and have their own kids. And....here I still am. Childless and living 5 miles from where I grew up. *sigh* This has been a hard summer for me.

Caryl, I've enjoyed the time we've spent together this summer. I hope we will see ya on Labor Day. It can seem so hard when you are waiting for your dreams to come true. I beleive it will happen for you and this time will be a distant memory soon. Hang in there sweetie. I love ya.

Keep talking with God, let him know what is in your heart. Hand your pain over to him...remember he has a plan for your life. When the time is right it will happen.
I don't know why I've been so blessed with beautiful children but I don't take it for granted for one second. I certianly understand what you long for and I prayer for you always.
Love ya
