Joey has been out of ICU for several days now and is doing better. They are giving him infusions directly into his bloodstream to boost his immune system and fight the infection. He no longer has to go to ICU for treatments! Hoooray! He is only on a Bypap machine when he is sleeping. More great news for him: Susie and John left this morning with their girls to spend a week down in Florida visiting Joey and helping Denise. All the kids are very excited!
On the homefront, the social worker from the adoption agency did our home inspection Thursday and says we are on schedule to be licensed in August! We just need our background check and character references to be completed and we'll be able to actively start looking for a birthmother. We are working on our profile, which is a very heartwrenching and difficult thing, but we have to put ourselves out there if we want to find a child. I mean, what do you say to a woman whose baby you want to adopt? On the one hand, I can think of 1,000 things but on the other hand, what can you really say? We are just going to be ourselves and let The Lord do the rest. We know there is a child out there that is meant for us and that The Lord will bring him or her to us in His timing.

Thanks for the update on Joey. he's in my prayers.
What would a birth mother want to know.
1) Your a christian
2) How much you love each other and wan to share your share with a child.
Love Ya
Hmmm lte's tryt #2 again
How much you love each other and want to share your love with a child.
Thanks, sisters. It's just so hard to fathom how we are going to make ourselves stand out from the literally thousands of other couples out there with profiles for the birthmoms to view! I was looking thru the profiles on the agency website and there are just so many many couples out there all saying pretty much the same things! It's intimidating, but we are just going to have to trust The Lord and put ourselves out there.
It's kinda scary to be just 2 more faces in such a sea of people, know what I mean?
The Lord will lead you. He has a plan for you. The waiting can be hard and the journey can take you to many surprising places but in the end I know you will find the child that is yours. Trust.
